Maken brukar ta hem mX - Sydneys gratistidning, liknande Metro - åt mig varje vardag. Det är en salig blandning av nyheter, skvaller och anekdoter.
Det här har jag skrattat åt idag:
In 1991, Steve Barkley was caught speeding in San Fransisco. The Police mailed him a photo of his car speeding and a fine. Barkley mailed the police a photo of the money to pay his fine. The police chief mailed him a photo of handcuffs. Barkley paid up.
Ur samma tidning:
A US judge has sentenced youngsters to an hour of listening to Barry Manilow at full volume as punishment for playing their music too loud. Judge Paul Sacco insists his methods have reduced the numbers of repeat offenders in the northwestern praire town of Fort Lupton, Colorado.
Four times a year, those guilty of making too much noise sit in a room and are made to listen to Manilow, Barney the Dinosaur and Dolly Parton.
"It´s a horrible punishment," Sacco said.
